Over the years, we have found many issues relating to quality, safety and efficacy. Our stringent testing regimes guard against substitution, adulteration and poor quality.
Identity and Purity
The Quality Control Laboratory analyse a sample from every batch and only accept the herbs that meet or exceed the strict quality criteria.
Depending upon the specific herb, the quality assurance process includes testing herbs for:
- Colour
- Aroma
- Texture
- Validation (species, part plant)
- Efficacy (actives, phytochemical profile)
- Identification (Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) fingerprinting)
- Microbial levels
- Amount of extraneous matter
- Pesticides
